Armenian community of Russia to send humanitarian aid to those suffered from forest fires

Dozens were killed and thousands left homeless as result of forest fires raging in Russia. The Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR) expressed condolences to the families of those killed and launched a program to help those who suffered from the fires.

“The Armenian community will send humanitarian aid to those who suffered from forest fires. As of today, 7 million rubles and about 100 tons of humanitarian assistance have been gathered,” the UAR said in a statement.

10 trucks with the aid will move off to Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan regions of Russia on August 12.
