Revised Labor Code takes effect in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - New Labor Code took effect in Armenia on August 7, 2010.

The revised Code reads that maximum working hours should not exceed 180 hours per annum; payment for overtime should make 50% of the salary. Payment for night work should reach 30% of the salary.

“Within the first half of 2010, the number of unrecorded employees fixed by the state labor commission was equal to the figure registered during 2009,” said Armen Smbatyan, the commission deputy head.
