Accident rate has been reported as satisfactory over the past 8 months in Armenia.

“1025 traffic accidents resulted in deaths of 137 and injuries of 1375 people,” traffic police chief, colonel Norayr Sargsyan stated.

As he noted at a news conference in Yerevan, the number of traffic accidents decreased by 12, number of killed by 47 and the number of injured by 54 compared with the same period in 2009.

Over the past 8 months, the traffic police drew 470 000 reports, exceeding 2009 results by 120 000.
