Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan issued a congratulatory address in connection with Independence Day marked on September 2.

“This day is important and memorable for all Artsakh people as everyone has personal contribution to the formation and development of our independent statehood. Of course, we still have a long way to pass to develop foreign policy and socioeconomic sector. However, one thing is distinct and irreversible: Artsakh people and authorities are steadfast and firm in the realization of national goals and will do everything possible for building a radiant future for the Artsakh Republic,” he said in the statement.

“The Motherland always keeps bright the memory of its sons who sacrificed their lives for free and independent Artsakh. Eternal honor and glory to our martyrs! September 2 is also a holiday for our compatriots in Armenia and Diaspora. Thanks to their joint efforts, the ancient Armenian Artsakh still exists and continues flourishing and prospering. Dear compatriots, I congratulate all of us once again on this holiday of ultimate importance and wish peace, robust health and all the best,” President Sahakyan said.
