TALKS WITH "TVEL" RUSSIAN COMPANY ON NUCLEAR FUEL SUPPLY FOR THE ARMENIAN ATOMIC POWER PLANT CONTINUE
Minister of Energy of Armenia Karen Galustian holds negotiations with the leadership of "Tvel" Russian Company on nuclear fuel supply for refueling the Armenian atomic power plant. As reported by "Arka" agency, K.Galustian arrived to Moscow on a week visit to discuss this question. "Tvel" Company is engaged in production of atomic fuel for nuclear power stations. According to the information provided by the agency, there are "hard" talks on resumption of fuel supply for one of the energetic blocks of the station. "Tvel" stated that fuel supply would be renewed only in case of restructuring the accumulated creditor debt of the Armenian atomic power station for the previous supplies. The Armenian nuclear power plant owes about 20 million dollars to "Elektrostal" branch establishment of "Tvel" public corporation. Besides, the Russian party demands 30% beforehand payment for the new consignment and the rest 70% - in course of 90 days from the day of receiving the fuel.
