SITTING OF HEADS OF CIS SPECIAL SERVICES OPENED IN YEREVAN
The 14-th sitting of the Council of heads of security bodies and special services of the CIS countries opened in Yerevan today. In the course of the two-day sitting among other issues prospects of cooperation in struggle against terrorism are planned to be discussed. Specifically, a mechanism of joint measures to prevent movement of members of international terrorist organizations across CIS frontiers is planned to be worked out. The heads of special services will also consider issues of preparation and holding in Ukraine special tactical exercises for special detachments on struggle against terrorism. The sitting participants also intend to exchange experience on averting emergency occurrence at energy objects and raw material complexes. It should be noted Armenian president Robert Kocharian addressed a welcoming message to the sitting participants.
