Honorary President of the Belgian Senate Anne-Marie Lizin said that the appointment of UN special representative on the Karabakh conflict may have a positive impact on the conflict settlement.

“The OSCE Minsk Group, which has the mediator’s mandate for the conflict resolution, has not achieved any result yet. In my opinion, the two sides - Armenia and Azerbaijan – should take urgent steps to this end and achieve appointment of UN special representative on the Karabakh conflict,” Trend quoted Lizin, a board member of YES international advisory group, as saying.
