ANC offers its recipe to reduce inflationSeptember 18, 2010 - 13:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Due to the global economic recession, entrepreneurs and companies in developed countries lost most of their capital while in Armenia, where a 14.4% GDP slump was registered, the fortune of oligarchs continued to grow, the Armenian National Congress (ANC) said in a statement. “The main income for the oligarchs is the artificial rise in prices. In January-August 2010, inflation was 9.6%. This means that each family lost about AMD 250 thousand,” the statement says. “Explained by the global rise in prices for wheat, the prices for flour went up 35-40% in Armenia.” In its “100 Steps” program, ANC offers to restrict the activity of major supermarket networks and let SMB develop. The Congress offers to combats monopolists by barring them from importing more that 1/3 of the whole volume of imported goods, thus securing 20-40% price reduction and 50-80% pension increase.
