West is wallowed in other problems and it does not care for South Caucasus

PanARMENIAN.Net - Editor of Foreign Policy magazine Steve LeVine said that the West's positions are weak in the South Caucasus, as there are not results.

According to him, there are many reasons for it. "The West is wallowed in other problems - Iraq, Afghanistan, peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians, Iran's nuclear problem. The South Caucasus is not among priorities of its foreign policy. Besides, Russia has clearly indicated in 2008 that it is ready to undertake also hostilities to protect its interests, while the West is not ready for it. Of course, it can have an impact, but today it is not ready to act under conditions of the actual crisis," 1news.az quoted LeVine as saying.
