Special coin issued for World Chess Olympiad

A commemorative silver coin was issued to symbolize the 39th World Chess Olympiad held in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The globe, a pawn, an archer, elements of Ugra emblem and a chessboard fragment are depicted on the reverse side of the coin. “XXXIX World Chess Olympiad” and “Khanty-Mansiysk” are inscribed, the Olympiad’s website reported.

5,000 coins were released.
