On September 29, Khanty-Mansiysk, the capital of the 39th World Chess Olympiad, will host the election of FIDE President.

Incumbent FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov and world champion Anatoly Karpov are the candidates for the post.

А candidate must enlist the support of 82 countries to win, the Olympiad official website reported.
