According to the final data announced May 31 by the Armenian Central Election Commission, the draft of constitutional amendments submitted to the national referendum has not been adopted. As reported by CEC member Pavel Edigarian out of 1 215 908 electors who participated in the referendum 559 687 electors voted in favor while 552 257 voted against. The number of inaccuracies amounted in 3689. Due to the law "On referendum", approval of one third or 800 000 of total number of the citizens is necessary for the adoption of the constitutional amendments.
