Scientists from Armenia, Artsakh and Belarus to discuss creation of new chemical materials in Yerevan

The 2nd scientific conference of the Armenian Chemical Society - New Materials and Processes - kicked off in Yerevan.

In his opening remarks, President of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences Radik Martirosyan said that the conference results will be submitted to both the government and commercial companies.

According to him, study of new chemical materials and processes may serve as a stimulus for Armenia’s economic growth.

Results of scientific researches dedicated to creation of new materials and compounds based on crude ore and mineral raw materials of the republic, as well as natural raw hydrocarbons and oil products will be discussed during the conference.

It brought together representatives of scientific, educational and industrial organizations: Nairit Plant scientific and research center, institute of polymeric materials of former Polymer all-union scientific and research institute, Plastpolymer scientific-industrial union, Vanadzor chemical complex, Vanadzor State University, Yerevan State University, State Engineering University of Armenia, Goris State University, Ararat Cement Plant, as well as scientists from Artsakh, Russia and Belarus.

Goris will host a visiting sitting of the conference on October 7. The conference will be completed on October 8.
