Nikolay Bordyuzha: CSTO takes necessary measures to support Kyrgyzstan authorities

On October 18, CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha met with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Susan Elliott, who arrived in Moscow to participate in consultations after her trip to Kyrgyzstan.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in Kyrgyzstan after October 10, 2010 parliamentary elections as well as Central Asia, expressing mutual interest in providing Kyrgyzstan with all the necessary conditions to find a way out of crisis. “CSTO takes necessary measures to support Kyrgyzstan authorities,” Bordyuzha said.

CSTO Secretary General briefed Ms. Elliott on Organisation’s activities aimed at the struggle against terrorism, extremism and illegal drug trafficking, CSTO press service reported.
