Armenia, Iran discuss construction of oil pipeline for petrol and diesel fuel suppliesOctober 26, 2010 - 19:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian Oil Minister Seyed Masoud Mirkazemi said that a pipeline is planned to be constructed for petrol and diesel fuel supplies to Armenia. Armenia purchases gas and oil products from Iran, supplying electric power in return, IRIB news quoted Mirkazemi as saying during a press conference after negotiations with Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan. During the meeting, the parties exchanged opinions on continuation of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of Iranian gas’ supplies to Armenia and receiving electric power from the country. Besides, oil products’ supplies to Armenia via the pipeline were in the focus of the meeting. The Iranian Oil Minister noted that, according to Armenian specialists, the purchase of oil products from Iran can be economically advantageous for Armenia. He added that the negotiations were fruitful and it was decided to implement new projects in the near future. Detailed discussion of the achieved agreements by experts will be held next week to sign relevant contracts.
