HEYDAR ALIEV'S VISIT TO IRAN IS BEING PREPARED
. Before the end of the summer Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kyamal Harazi will visit Baku on a state visit. It is expected that the main subject of negotiations of K.Harazi in Baku will be the problem of determining the legal status of the Caspian Sea. During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be received by President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliev, to whom he will hand the personal message of President Mohammad Hatami, containing an invitation to visit Iran on an official call. As it is known, from the moment of Hatami's election as the President in 1997, the Azerbaijanian President has delayed his trip to Iran on different pretexts. Only after the Iranain side had given its principle consent for opening the Consulate-General of Azerbaijan in Tabriz - the capital of one of the northern provinces, which is inhabited by Azerbaijanians - the representatives of Aliev's Administration started planning his official trip to Teheran.
