Baku’s lie revealed – Armenian captive Manvel Saribekyan was tortured in Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Signs of violence to the body of Armenian shepherd Manvel Saribekyan, captivated and later murdered by Azeris, were revealed.

A criminal case was instigated in accordance with part 2, article 104 of Armenian Criminal Code (premeditated, violent murder), Armenian Prosecutor General's Office reported.

Manvel Saribekyan, a shepherd, was killed in the Azerbaijani captivity.

The Armenian Ministry of Defense stated Saribekyan completed his military service in May 2010 and had no relation to armed forces.

Several days after Saribekyan was taken prisoner, an interview with him was posted on the web. The expertise of the video material showed that the man was under heavy psychological pressure and pumped with special drugs.

On November 4, Armenia transferred Azerbaijani citizen Eldar Tagiev, who illegally crossed the Armenian border in December 2009, to Azerbaijan in exchange for the body of Saribekyan.
