RA President familiarizes himself with construction works in SpitakNovember 7, 2010 - 16:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Stepanavan to participate in events dedicated to the city day - opening of renovated palace of culture, as well as newly constructed sport school. Later, the Armenian President left for Armanis mining and processing enterprise to visit the processing plant of Sagamar CJSC, the RA presidential press service reported. Serzh Sargsyan was briefed on the activity and further plans of Neva-Rus company, which implements investment projects in Armenia's mining industry through its subsidiaries - Sagamar and Molybdenum World companies. The enterprises are managed by the Armenian branch of Global Metals company. As part of his working visit to Lori region, Mr. Sargsyan visited Spitak to participate in the ceremony of handing over certificates for dwellings to families, who suffered from the 1988 disastrous earthquake. The Armenian leader familiarized himself with living conditions in the newly constructed buildings, as well as projects for further development of New City of Spitak district. Mr. Sargsyan also met with families, who were provided with the new dwellings, congratulated them on the event, as well as discussed matters presenting interest to them.
