Armenian President’s aide on legal affairs Gevorg Kostanyan said that the revised bill on rallies is progressive compared to the law in force, what is proved by the estimation of the Venice Commission, as well as opinion of other structures on the matter.

The initiative aims to create such a legislative basis, which will minimize any willful display, i.e. will establish a balance between provision of the right to organizing rallies and other human rights, Kostanyan said during the new bill discussion.

According to him, the bill guarantees complete protection of human rights, excluding abuse of powers by any state body.
