Georgia not going to sell Armenia-bound gas pipeline

A Spokesperson for the Georgian Cabinet, Niko Mchedlishvili said that Georgia is not going to sell Armenia-bound gas pipeline, Vzglyad paper reported.

Many countries of the region may display interest towards the property of strategic importance, but it does not mean that the pipeline will be sold by Georgia, Mchedlishvili told journalists, citing Georgian Prime Minister Niko Gilauri.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic shows interest in Armenia-bound gas pipeline stretching via Georgia. It has already sent Georgia an inquiry on the terms of privatization or transfer for management.
