  Water is Life telethon audience can wait for surprises  November 24, 2010 - 15:36 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - A number of events were held in some countries on the threshold of the telethon. “In London, the branch of Hayastan All Armenian Fund organized a charity concert timed to Armenian Independence Day, thus signaling participation in the telethon. The newly established branch in Uruguay joined the activity through organization of a radiothon on November 14. A similar event is expected in Lebanon. A reception with participation of over 150 Armenian entrepreneurs who pledged to donate about USD 8 million, was held in Moscow. 1.3 million euro is expected from the European telethon,” Hayastan All Armenian Fund PR Officer Hasmik Grigoryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Subscribers of three Armenian mobile operators can make donations by sending SMS messages. Armenian citizens can also make donations through TelCell terminals. Grigoryan said the Fund has surprises for the audience, including a concert of Armenian pop stars. In Southern California, the Telethon can be seen on KSCI Channel 18, KVMD, ARTN/Shant and USArmenia networks for full 12 hours. In the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena/La Canada areas in addition to ARTN/Shant (388) and USArmenia (386), the Telethon broadcast will be also shown on AABC (384), HighVision (381) and Horizon (385) Armenian TV channels. The live 12 hour webcast can be viewed at www.ArmeniaFund.org In Armenia, the Telethon can be viewed for full 12 hours on H1, Armenia, Shant and Yerkir Media networks beginning 8 pm.
