Foodstuffs prices grow 3.3% in Armenia in November 2010November 30, 2010 - 19:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 13.9% and 3.3% growth was recorded in prices for foodstuffs in Armenia in November 2010 as compared with the same period in 2009 and October 2010 respectively. This is reasoned by 3.8-12.8% growth in prices for sugar, fish products, animal and vegetable oil, eggs, dairy products, vegetables and potato. The RA National Statistical Service reported that in November 2010 the growth in prices for vegetables and potato totaled 38.8% and 12.8% as compared with the same period in 2009 and October 2010 respectively, what is basically conditioned by increase in prices for tomatoes – by 2.7 times, vegetable marrow – by 1.7 time, pepper – by 1.5 time, kidney beans – by 1.5 time, cucumber – by 27.8%, onion – by 27.6%, garlic – by 15.5%, carrot – by 13.3%, etc. In November 2010, the growth in prices for dairy products totaled 18.8% and 12.7% compared to the same period in 2009 and October 2010 respectively. 32.9% increase was recorded in prices for cheese in October-November 2010, while prices for eggs grew by 17.8% in November in Armenia.
