RA government discusses problems faced by local producers

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan presided over a meeting with participation of members of the Union of Local Producers of Armenia and Committee for Financial, Economic and Budgetary Issues of the Public Council.

“I strongly believe that the meeting will provide opportunities for presenting problems and matters concerning further development of Armenia’s economy, as well as tasks faced by the government,” said Tigran Sargsyan.

The parties exchanged opinions concerning efficient implementation of industrial policy in Armenia. Specifically, tax administration, increase in export volumes, stimulation of small and medium enterprises, as well as tourism development and innovation technologies were in the focus of the meeting.

The Armenian Prime Minister said it is necessary to submit the offers in written form, saying that they will be included in the projects, which are envisaged to be implemented in the near future. Mr. Sarsgyan also attached importance to regular organization of similar meetings, stressing that they create prerequisites for adoption of correct decisions on matters discussed, the RA governmental press service reported.
