Prosperous Armenia party has supported Republican Party of Armenia, RPA, candidate Karen Karapetyan, ArmRosgazprom board chairman, for the post of Mayor of Yerevan.

Extraordinary election of Yerevan Mayor are in progress. The voting will start at noon and will last for an hour. The results will be announced within 30 minutes to follow, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the city administration.

According to the law on self-government, the Mayor will assume the duties three days after election.
