Competition problems acute before the New Year’s eve

To improve competition in Armenia, the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) has worked out a 3-year program while the government approved the bill on introduction of amendments to the law on economic competition.

Competition problems are acute before the New Year’s eve, when prices are unreasonably inflated.

Nevertheless, there is a slight hope that the measures taken by the SCPEC will produce result in 2011.

SCPEC chairman Artak Shaboyan will welcome in the New Year together with his spouse and children, the youngest of whom was born several days ago.
