82-year-old Armenian woman wins in amateur nomination of contest for best fairy tale about Kaghand Pap

On January 11, the winners of the contest for the best fairy tale about Kaghand Pap (Armenian Santa Claus) and best X-mas tree in the framework of Armenia 2010 winter festival were awarded with prizes and certificates through the courtesy of Kanachastan, Deem Communications and Poghossian Gardens organizations.

“This year, an 82-year-old Armenian, Ms. Jeanetta Ananikyan won the first place in amateur nomination for the best fairy tale; Naira Edigaryan was announced as professional nomination winner,” contest organizer and initiator Raffi Niziblian told a news conference in Yerevan.

“IDS and Ghoghanj organisations became winners in best X-mas tree nomination.

A special prize was granted to the director of Teryan Cultural Center Lilit Melikyan for designing the image of Kaghand Pap.
