David Nalbandian to rival David Ferrer in final of Heineken Open

Argentina's David Nalbandian is through to the final of the Heineken Open after beating Nicolas Almagro 6-4 6-2.

The veteran Argentinian, who has 11 titles to his name, held his own and played a steady game against the Spaniard and like the rest of the week he has looked one of the most in form players at this year's tournament, stuff.co.nz reported.

Much to the dismay of the vocal, flag-toting Colombians high in the Yock Stand, top seed David Ferrer dispatched their compatriot Santiago Giraldo in straight sets to move into Heineken Open final.

A quality contest between two in-form players looms after Ferrer followed David Nalbandian's assured conquest of Nicolas Almagro with an equally-dominant display to reach his 20th career final.
