Vladimir Zakharov: PACE subcommittee on Karabakh dead-born structure

The PACE subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh is another dead-born structure, aimed to imitate activity for resolution of the conflict.

“The problem is that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs have failed to perform their duties properly and are engaged in their own PR campaign only. To resolve the conflict, its causes and history should be studied, what appears impossible for the Co-chairs,” Director of the Institute for Political and Social Studies in the Black & Caspian Sea Region, Vladimir Zakharov, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

As to Armenian-Turkish process¸ he emphasized that it was the U.S., who frustrated the process. “Karabakh talks reached a deadlock, a scenario not beneficial for the United States,” he said.

“I should say that the international community is not interested in Karabakh at all. NKR is important for the U.S. only due to its closeness to Iran. The territory that can be used as a platform for attacking Iran,” Zakharov said.
