Azerbaijani parliamentarians displeased with Iran-Armenia cooperation

Members of the Azerbaijani parliament - Milli Mejlis - said that the anti-Azerbaijani policy pursued and intensified recently in Iran causes concern in Azerbaijan.

Member of the Azerbaijani parliament Azay Guliyev said that he considered similar actions of Iran to be a temporary phenomenon. “However, after the recent action of Iran, which signed an agreement with Armenia on energy resources supply, all the actions can be considered as a threat to Azerbaijani national interests. The parliament members should assess the dual policy of Iran,” he said.

According to Fazail Agamaly, Iran not only pursues an evident anti-Azerbaijani policy, but also makes attempts to interfere in domestic affairs of Azerbaijan up to changes in the constitutional structure.

“We should oppose these attempts. Moreover, we should raise the matter of restoration of the rights of our compatriots residing in Iran at an international level,” Novosti Azerbaijan quoted Agamaly as saying.
