Azerbaijani Ambassador leaves letter of The Interrupted Song film creators unreplied

Ashot Poghosyan, the producer of The Interrupted Song, the first feature film on Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, commented on the letter addressed to Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu.

At news conference in Yerevan, the producer spoke of recent media reports suggesting Bulbuloglu threatened Azerbaijani artists of Moscow Theater into not accepting roles in the film. “We addressed a letter to the Ambassador, asking for explanation; yet he never replied,” Poghosyan said.

The movie will be filmed in Moscow and Karabakh, with the premiere to be held in late May. “Film screenings are planned in Russia, Armenia, U.S., France. We’ll also attempt to organize a premiere in Azerbaijan,” Poghosyan noted.
