Eduard Sharmazanov: Artsakh people’s right for self-determination is only fair solution to Karabakh issue

PanARMENIAN.Net - Recognition of 1991 referendum results or implementation of Artsakh people’s right for self-determination through a referendum are the only fair solutions to Karabakh issue, according to Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) secretary, parliamentarian Eduard Sharmazanov.

As he noted at parliamentary sitting, “Artsakh has never bore any relation to the independent Azerbaijan.”

In his statement, Sharmazanov also referred to the results of Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Cyprus and South Sudan independence referendum, specifically noting declaration signed by Cyprus authorities, naming Turkey responsible for failure of Armenia-Turkey rapprochement and announcing people’s right for self-determination as the main principle for Karabakh conflict settlement.
