Armenia to submit first national report on struggle against trafficking to CoE in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration hosted a sitting of the council for trafficking issues, led by Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan.

Presenting a report on 2010 anti-trafficking activities, the head of the council’s working group Dzyunik Aghajanyan stated that in 2011 Armenia will submit the first national report on struggle against trafficking to GRETA (Council of Europe's Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking).

Deputy Chief of Armenian Police Artur Osikyan, in turn, mentioned cases of child abuse and 5 child trafficking incidents in 2010, noting unregistered children to be most often found in risk groups.
