Yerevan to host next sitting of Armenian-Chinese intergovernmental committeeFebruary 17, 2011 - 19:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi to discuss bilateral relations. Mr. Sargsyan stressed the considerable progress in the Armenian-Chinese relations, political dialogue established between the two countries, as well as high level of political, economic and cultural ties, the RA governmental press service reported. The parties discussed possible actions for the development of bilateral economic ties, attaching importance to the activity of the intergovernmental committee. They agreed that the committee’s next sitting will be held in Yerevan. Besides, China’s participation in Iran-Armenia railroad construction, establishment of direct air communication between the two countries and increase in the trade turnover were in the focus of the meeting.
