E-system for tax reports submission needs to be improved in Armenia

Executive Director of the Union of Armenian Manufacturers and Businessmen Gagik Makaryan said that the electronic system for submission of tax reports by Armenian taxpayers needs to be improved.

According to him, the equipment of the system does not allow processing such volume of incoming information. “In January 2011, when business entities started submitting their reports electronically, the system has stopped responding due to overload,” Makaryan told a press conference in Yerevan.

As for the governmental reforms in the field of tax and customs administration as a whole, Makaryan said that business entities do not manage to follow them as a result of their huge volume or do not apply them within the terms set by the law.

Member of the Republican Party of Armenia parliamentary group, Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee for Economic Affairs Vardan Aivazyan said for his part that the introduction of an electronic document circulation is a new culture, which has no alternative.
