Azerbaijan’s seeking failure of Karabakh negotiations unlikely

The head of NKR Public Council on Foreign Policy and Security finds it hard to believe Azerbaijan’s interested in failure of Karabakh negotiations.

As Masis Mailyan stated in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, “Azerbaijan has been offering the same unoriginal solution over the years, suggesting either peace on its own conditions, or a war. In essence, fulfilment of Madrid principles is Azerbaijani condition for preservation of peace.”

Azerbaijan may give “serious thought” to perspectives of its further participation in Karabakh negotiations in Prague Process format, should Armenia try to delay the process or give negative response to Madrid principle-based suggestions of OSCE MG co-chairs, according to Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine. As Eynulla Madatli stated at a conference on regional conflicts in Kiev, “Baku is considering “various options” in an attempt to regain territorial integrity of Azerbaijan by all means.”
