EU expects progress from March 5 Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Commenting on the March 5 meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Sochi, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby said in Baku that the EU expects a progress from it.

He noted that the EU should pay greater attention to the South Caucasus region to prevent new conflicts and repetition of existing ones.

Peter Semneby also hailed Russia’s efforts in assisting the negotiation process on Nagorno Karabakh.

“We are interested in conflicts resolution, and we want Azerbaijan and the entire region to live in peace,” APA quoted Semneby as saying.
