Raul de Luzenberger: EU open to dialogue, the rest depends on Armenian authorities

Over the first 4 years of European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) implementation, Armenian government has accomplished a major task. Still, the progress is not so obvious from the viewpoint of internal reforms, the Head of the European Commission Delegation to Armenia stated.

As ambassador Raul de Luzenberger said during the presentation of a report Armenia’s ENP Implementation, “the number of visits of EU officials to Armenia, as well as the intense dialogue with the Armenian government proves EU’s attention to Armenia and South Caucasus.

As the ambassador noted, EU is open to a dialogue, and the rest depends on the government which assumed the responsibility of implementing the reforms program.

“EU is striving to create a stable atmosphere in and around South Caucasus. Armenia is still conflicting with neighboring countries. It’s important that conflicting parties try to find ways towards conflict settlement through a dialogue,” he concluded.
