Sargsyan: both past and present important for building relations with Latvia

Mutual visits at the highest level reflect the political dialogue and trust between Armenia and Latvia, Armenian President said.

Speaking at a presidential reception in Riga, Serzh Sargsyan emphasized that Armenia and Latvia have much in common, as both countries have chosen European integration as the path of development.

He also pointed out to the role of the Armenian community of Latvia for preservation of bilateral relations.

“Both past and present are important for building relations with Latvia, which is not only a friendly state but also a partner in the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation,” Sargsyan said.
