Vanadzor hosts British Film FestivalMarch 15, 2011 - 13:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 10-11, Vanadzor hosted the ninth British Film Festival. Three films – The Arbor, Pink Saris, Enemies of the People - were screened in Vanadzor as part of the festival. The films were welcomed by the audience, especially, youth. The opening ceremony of the 9th British Film Festival took place on March 8 International Women Day at Moscow Cinema in Yerevan. In his opening speech Charles Lonsdale, HM Ambassador to Armenia stated that some of the films featured reflect the issues of the women. The Ambassador expressed hope for the films to help women in the struggle for their rights, regardless of social position. The festival lasted until March 13 in Yerevan.
