Opposition to set tougher demands at March 17 rally

The opposition will set tougher demands at the March 17 rally, Armenian National Movement board chairman said.

“The popular wave of protest is growing and people no more fear of the authorities,” Aram Manukyan told journalists in Yerevan.

He believes that tomorrow’s rally will bring together more people than on March 1.

As to the ANC actions, Manukyan said it will be the people to decide on further steps. “The popular movement in Armenia is different from those in the Middle East. Armenians are more organized. They do not want to be fed but demand the right to earn living,” he said.
