ARF Bureau’s Hay Dat and Political Affairs Office director Kiro Manoyan has said Armenia will never agree to unilateral withdrawal of snipers.

Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter to comment on the recent proposal of OSCE Chairman-in-Office to withdraw snipers from the frontline, Manoyan said, “The idea is incomprehensible and inadmissible, taking into account Azerbaijan refusal to do so.”

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Azubalis said that unilateral withdrawal of snipers from the frontline by the Armenian side would be a good example and demonstration of goodwill on Armenia’s part. “We offered the Armenian side to withdraw snipers but it was rather an emotional and impromptu proposal,” Azubalis said in Yerevan on March 18.
