Expert: dynamic growth of Armenia’s economy impossible without increase in export

Executive Director of the Armenian Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC) Karen Gevorgyan said that no dynamic growth can be secured in Armenia’s economy without increase in export volumes.

The field faces many problems – availability of external markets, logistics and transportation, Gevorgyan said during the March 24 presentation of a practical guide for Armenian businessmen - the Export Roadmap.

According to Gevorgyan, Armenian exporters also lack a common information base, thus the “the guide will serve as a sort of window for optimizing the entire process of export organization.” He added that the guide will be available for Armenian businessmen in printed and electronic versions at SME DNC for free.

The Export Roadmap is a joint initiative of the Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advice Centre (AEPLAC) and the European Union Advisory Group (EU AG), prepared in cooperation with the Armenian Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC) and the Ministry of Economy.

Based upon existing legislation and the business practices, it provides all necessary information and gives step-by-step instructions on how to organize export-related processes.

Head of AEPLAC Alexei Sekarev said for his part that the guide will allow Armenian businessmen to reach external markets and obtain huge profit.
