Earlier, the two Presidents met to summarize the results of the visit. Sargsyan expressed hope that Calmy-Rey’s visit will contribute to boosting relations between Armenia and Switzerland. “The first official visit of the Swiss President to Armenia will serve as an impetus for boosting and developing the Armenian-Swiss relations – in both bilateral and multilateral formats,” he said. For her part, Calmy-Rey hailed the results of the visit and expressed gratitude for a warm reception. “The two countries aspire to develop the bilateral relations, while Switzerland is a friendly country and reliable partner for Armenia,” she said.
