Plant for PEPSI production to be commissioned in Yerevan in May

On April 1, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited a new plant for production of soft drinks and natural juices of PepsiCo brand, which will be put into operation in Yerevan in May.

Mr. Sargsyan familiarized himself with the production opportunities of the plant supplied with modern equipment of leading German companies.

“Currently it is one of the best plants worldwide by the level of its equipment,” business consultant of Jermuk International company Ghazaryan told journalists.

According to him, the basic part of investments (22mln euros) has been already made, but the company is going to make additional investments to produce branded natural juices.

Ghazaryan added that the plant has been established by local entrepreneurs – owners of Jermuk International, with which a franchise agreement was signed on usage of PepsiCo brand.

The plant will create 250 jobs. It will produce Pepsi Cola, Mirinda, 7UP, Mountain Dew and Aquafina drinks.
