New Times party leader calls Tashir 2011 “feast in time of plague”

PanARMENIAN.Net - New Times opposition party leader Aram Karapetyan subjected to criticism Tashir 2011 Armenian Music Awards held on April 3.

As he noted, the ceremony proved that the moral and psychological state of some representatives of Armenia and the Diaspora can be characterized as “feast in time of plague”. As the party leader stated, Samvel Karapetyan is free to spend his money any way he wishes; still, he noted, that mustn’t be considered as a way to represent the whole nation.

Karapetyan was also displeased by the fact that during the joke of the award ceremony host Garik Martirosyan about the Armenian President, Armenia TV channel turned on the commercials.

The Kremlin hosted Tashir 2011 Armenian Music Awards grandiose ceremony on April 3 with popular Armenian, Russian and foreign artists participating. At the concert, the organizer of the event, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan, awarded the artists with apartments and cars.
