Armenian Ministry of Diaspora accused of attempted money laundering

Executive Director of One Nation, One Culture foundation Tamar Poghosyan said that the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora intended to implement a plan on money laundering, but failed in doing so.

As the plan has failed, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan decided to create problems for implementation of the foundation’s programs, Poghosyan told a press conference in Yerevan, commenting on her discrepancies with the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora.

Poghosyan added that the Ministry created numerous artificial hindrances for the foundation in 2010, thus, exacerbating tensions.

On April 11, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan presented a document during a meeting with bloggers, according to which Tamara Poghosyan set an AMD 2,631,850 salary for herself for organization of One Nation, One Culture festival in 2010, which lasted for only a week.
