TRIAL OVER THE TERRORIST ACT IN PARLIAMENT IS HELD UP FOR 25 DAYS
YEREVAN, February 28. /Mediamax/. A 25-day break is announced at the trial of the case of the October 27, 1999 terrorist act in the Armenian parliament.
By the decision of the court, during this break the main accused Nairi Hunanian has to get acquainted with the 25 volumes of the criminal case. The criminal case of the October 27, 1999 terrorist act in the Armenian parliament comprises 43 volumes in total.
Hunanian expressed readiness to make statements after he gets completely acquainted with the materials of the case. He asked for 2 days per each volume, which was considered by the court as an attempt to artificially drag out the process.
The trial over the executors of the October 27, 1999 terrorist act in the Armenian parliament, as a result of which the Prime Minister, the speaker and two vice-speakers of the National Assembly, deputies and government officials were killed, started in Yerevan on February 15. --0--
