Armenian delegation’s position on the activities of PACE subcommittee on Karabakh remains unchanged. “We have no intention to participate in a process which bodes nothing but unpredictable consequences and new tensions,” head of the Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan told a news conference.
As Harutyunyan noted, he reiterated Armenia’s position on the issue at April 11-15 PACE spring session.
Mevlut Cavusoglu, the PACE’s Turkish President, has sought to revive the panel, supported by Azerbaijan, over the past year. The PACE’s decision-making Bureau approved Cavusoglu’s initiative in January over strong objections voiced by Armenian members of the Strasbourg-based assembly.
