Akhalaia: nothing can hamper Armenian-Georgian cooperation

Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said that bilateral cooperation on defense issues is one of main trends in Armenia’s foreign policy.

Commenting on how Georgia and Armenia imagine cooperation in the field of defense, taking into consideration the fact that Armenia is a CSTO member state, while Georgia aspires towards NATO, as well as the conflict between Russia and Georgia, Ohanyan said during a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Bacho Akhalaia that the experience shows that there is no problem with it, since all security systems are guided by the principle of peace resolution of conflicts in all matters referring to settlement of conflicts.

Akhalaia agreed with Ohanyan, saying that the Armenian-Georgian relations are unique. “I strongly believe that they will continue developing in future and nothing can hamper this cooperation,” he said.
