U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie L. Yovanovitch will leave her post in June 2011.

Spokesperson for the U.S Embassy in Armenia Taguhi Jahukyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that Yovanovitch will return to Washington to take up the post of U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Northern and Central Europe.

Yovanovitch was appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia in 2008.
